Fitting
The fitting of all Powerflow products is as important as the product itself.
Powerflow love the challenge of creating an exhaust that meets each custsomer's specific needs. Whether it is something really different to suit your one-off bodystyling, or a standard replacement exhaust for an imported people carrier, we pride ourselves on having the ability to provide just what is required, at a reasonable price, and with a lifetime of ownership guarantee.
Stage 1
Locate your nearest Powerflow Approved Build Centre.
Once you have their contact details, please contact them direct to discuss your system, get a quotation, find out how long they need the vehicle for and make a booking.
Stage 2
On average it takes 2 - 3 hours to remove your old exhaust system and replace it with a Powerflow Exhaust System.
Replacement systems are usually from the 'Cat' back.
Should you require work to be carried out on the cat or front pipe (down pipe) please discuss with the centre concerned.
Stage 3
Every person and car is different, that's why we make each exhaust specifically for you and your vehicle.
We understand that the sound and look you want is very personal, that's why each of our agents carries a range of over 150 different custom fit silencers and about 100 tailpipe options. And with eight different bore sizes we give you plenty of room to breathe...
Stage 4
Sometimes body mods are required to make room for tailpipes. As services offered may vary from one build centre to another, please check in advance with the centre whether they carry out bumper cutting and similar mods.
Stage 5
Down to some serious cutting and bending! At Powerflow we use state-of-the-art hydraulic bending machines. Depending on the make and model of car, you have up to eight different pipe diameters to choose from, all the way up to 3"!!!
The pipe that you choose is bent to the pattern of the old system. We can be 'creative' in this process but this is obviously dictated by constraints under the vehicle. To find out which systems and styles can be fitted to your vehicle contact your nearest dealer.
Stage 6
The newly bent pipe is offered up to ensure a perfect fit before being welded into position. At Powerflow we pride ourselves on our craftsmanship and professionalism, making sure to check perfect alignment at each stage of the build.
Powerflow have been providing quality stainless steel exhausts for over 35 years.
Stage 7
Once our fitters are completely satisfied with the alignment of your system they do the final welding.
Each of our stainless steel systems comes with a lifetime of ownership guarantee.
Check out the independent test results on the 'Technical Info' page.
Stage 8
Finally the system is refitted and the brackets are fabricated. If you want an exhaust that has your personal touch then you have found the company to help you achieve just that!
Stage 9
The finished item.
